Spanish and U.S. missionaries associated with IAM have been serving the Lord full-time in Spain in evangelism and church planting for over 20 years. A church is in the town of Baza in the Southern region of Andalucia. Baza has a population of 24,000, in an area covering 140 miles consisting of over 40 towns, or about 300,000 unreached. In 1990 missionaries began working in Baza, where there was no church. The Lord has raised a small congregation of 40 strong Christians.

The team in Baza hosts evangelistic campaigns and concerts in surrounding towns, teaches English and computer classes, sponsors foreign mission teams and finds ways to connect with families in their communities to share the Gospel. Members
have been added as the work grows. Teams also work at Priego de Córdoba at the Monte Olivos Bible Center.

Spain continues to be a difficult mission field in which tradition, idolatry, the adoration of the Virgin Mary and superstition prevail within the Catholic Church. There is a deep ignorance toward God's Word and a lack of response from the Spanish towards God.

Monte Olivos Bible Center

Monte Olivos Bible Center was founded by a U.S. family team of missionaries in 1980 to serve the community of God. An interdenominational organization, the main ministry of Monte Olivos is hosting camps, retreats and conferences, serving a variety of Spanish- and English-speaking groups. Children, youth and families come throughout the year to spend time in fellowship and worship. Minutes from an international airport and southern Spain's proximity to countries in the 10/40 Window make it an ideal location. Monte Olivos is creating partnerships with other mission organizations and churches to build a world-class center for missions.
