Duties of Interns
Each intern shall work as a member of a field team. A field team is a group of individuals who agree to work under the approval and policies of IberoAmerican Ministries. The intern shall:
Reconcile individuals to Christ
Carry out the primary business of the corporation, which is the reconciliation of Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking peoples throughout IberoAmerica to God, and to one another, through Jesus Christ.
Create a support base
Seek prayer support and funding from a variety of individuals and churches to carry out the enterprise.
Communicate with supporters
Report regularly and meaningfully with supporters and board members and to the directors, both directly and through the IAM Office.
Maintain financial accountability
Each intern will submit monthly financial reports of ministry expenses to the IAM Office.
Remain spiritually accountable
Be accountable to the field team and the field Team Leader. If an intern’s conduct is questioned or an accusation is brought up to the team, it must be immediately communicated to the Team Leader. The leader will then meet with the intern and clarify the situation based on biblical guidelines. The Team Leader is responsible to communicate with the Board for counsel and accountability.
